All students and staff are welcome in Sackville’s well equipped L.R.C. where you can borrow the latest fiction and non-fiction books. We also have newspapers, periodicals, magazines, and Resource Files used for research. The computers are available for internet access, word processing and printing. The L.R.C. staff liaise closely with teaching staff and so are able to help with OOLL homework and course- work, until 4pm every day. The sixth form enjoy having their own equally well-equipped quiet study area of the L.R.C where they can work undisturbed. Other L.R.C. services we offer include book reservations, laminating and photocopying as well as having frequent in-house competitions and prize-winning. Staff are welcome to request a “takeaway” - boxes of books and magazines to cover any curricular topic These are used in the classroom as required. We encourage Year 7 students to take our LRC Monitors’ Diploma which enables them to learn how to assist in the LRC at lunch-time, and earn their badge and certificate. |
