Reprographics

Staff are invited to make good use of the school's Audio Visual Aids department (AVA). It is open daily from 8am until 4pm and it is run by Jennifer Reeves and Linda Jackson.

  • We can use a variety of coloured paper and card in both A3 and A4, produce enlargements and reductions and also print on acetate.

  • A photocopying machine is available in AVA for coded staff use. Colour photocopying is available on request.

  • We are able to copy VHS tapes, video camera tapes, DVDs and CDs subject to copyright where applicable.

  • We have digital and video cameras available for staff and pupil use.

  • We operate on a 48 hour notice period. During busy periods inevitably work may take slightly longer.

  • The school holds a Copyright Licencing Agency (CLA) licence. Basically this means we can copy up to 5% of a publication or, if greater, one complete chapter of up to thirty pages from a book or an article from a magazine and a poem or short story of up to ten pages. Each department is responsible for adhering to copyright restrictions. For further details, please see information available in AVA.

  • We offer recycling of old batteries, spent ink cartridges, spent Ricoh toner bottles and unwanted mobile phones.

  • We hold unwanted stationery and furnishings for staff to recycle.

  • We can now offer pupils a variety of stationery to buy at low cost. This includes coloured paper and card, pencils, pens, rubber, rulers etc.

  • Departmental heads are regularly kept aware of budget expenditure. AVA will automatically advise staff on most economic method of work requested.

  • AVA are registed with Ricoh's tree dedication scheme which means trees are being planted on our behalf in either Uganda, Tanzania or Kenya on a monthly basis.
